Stanley No. 5 1/4 Jack Plane 1940's

Unavailable

This is a good old Stanley Jack plane dating back to around 1948. It is very clean with about 85% of it's original Japanning intact. This one has the "STANLEY" logo on the cutter, and "STANLEY" marked on the lateral lever. It's marked "5 1/4" behind the tote, and "BAILEY" in front of the knob. The front knob and handle are hardwood, painted black, both are solid no cracks, both have some paint wear, but overall a nice looking, and solid. The cutter is sharp, nice clean iron, with about 1/2" of stock left for feature use. Feature the frog position adjustment screw, kidney shape cap cover hole, nickel plated cap cover (about 95% plating intact). In very good working order! A very nice tool from the mid 1900's!
