Stanley No. 203 Block Plane Sweetheart

Unavailable

This is a clean, hard to find block plane from the 1920's marked "STANLEY SW MADE IN U.S.A." on the blade with the Stanley Sweetheart logo, and "NO. 203" in raise cast lettering on the bed. This is a good user plane, full functional with some minor pitting, no rust.  The blade is good and sharp plenty of length, some minor pitting, but not near the cutting edge. The bottom has some minor pitting noted, minimal wear, nice useable condition. The Japanning is about 80% intact inside the bed, not rusty, very clean. We note that the pitting on the bare metal part of the cap cover where the palm of your hand touches is a deeper pitting than elsewhere on the plane. The front knob is hardwood, solid, looks good. Overall a nice little general purpose plane. Overall in very good working order! Looks nice too! Size: 5 1/2" long x 1 3/8" wide cutter. This one has been tested and is functional, cuts very well.
