Medallion inserts of a stag and lady on the front & back respectively. The inside lip reads:"PAT. JAN.12,1904". Some pitting & scratching of the mother-of-pearl look enamel surrounding the medallions, but doesn't detract from the cleanliness and beauty of this Match Safe. No noticeable corrosion at all & the lid snaps shut securely.
