Lovely Staffordshire flow blue plate with pattern of pinks (or carnations) with self embossed body to rim and gilded band to outside of rim. Underglaze blue mark on rear, for W.A.A. & Co (William Alsager Adderley & Co, of Longton in the Staffordshire Potteries). This was their registered mark for the period 1886 to 1905. Plate measures 20 cm diameter (8 inches) and is in excellent condition for the body - with just a few minor knife marks and one small scuff to the pattern.
