This type of weapons of probably italian origin is develope in european country like Germany and North Italy; pommel of this type are seens in some venetian - bellunese swords from early XVI century to 1570 c.ca . An almost identical sword is painted from Vittore Carpaccio , Arrivo degli Ambasciatori , Gallerie dell' Accademia di Venezia.
