Sevres Fountainebleau Pitcher & Bowl

Included here is a lovely Sevres porcelain pitcher and matching bowl in the Chateau de Fontainebleau pattern that dates from as early as 1846. Each carries the orange Fonetainebleau mark and the Sevres 1845 mark. Pitcher measures 8.25" by 8" by 6" and bowl measures 8.5" in diameter and 5.75" high. Total weight is 3 lbs. 6 oz. Each is wonderful condition with no visible cracks, chips or repairs. The pattern features extensive gilding and painted decorations, including squirrels and rabbits surrounded by pink, green and purple flowers and leaves, and cartouches depicting the crest of King Louis Philippe of France. This item comes from a family which has been collecting European porcelain for four generations. It resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York city and may be seen by appointment.
