This exceptional cold-painted bronze by the American sculptor, Carl Kauba (1865-1922), depicts an indian with long feathered headdress stepping out of a canoe which bears a six-pointed star at one end. Measures 5.75" high, 9.75" wide and 5" deep and weighs 2 lbs. 8 oz. Signed "KAUBA" with additional impressed marks (likely foundry mark and numbers) which cannot be deciphered.
