WINTER SNOW SCENE,UNSIGNED

Unavailable
Late 19TH or Early 20TH Century Painting of Winter Scene Landscape. Oil on Board with painting measuring 16" X 12" mounted on a gilded frame that measures 22" X 17 1/2". Good Condition and Nicely Done. Very Good Possibilty even thpugh that that painting is not signed, I feel it might be a School of Groupe Painting. Locale appears to be of New Hope, Pennsylvania. The Pennsylvania New Hope Area was a hot bed for these kind of paintings and Groupe spent much time in this area with other painters. In addition to New England North Shore and Cape Cod, Groupe was very well known for his winter snow landscapes in Pennsylvania, especially in the New Hope Area which is not far from New York City.
