Great Scottish painting of an 18th century gentleman that appears to be unsigned. Great quality piece in a hard to find area. It is hard to narrow many of these early British / Scottish paintings down but this one does it for us with the reverso sticker. T. Alexander Hill supplied "colour" to artists in Edinburgh. Overall 16" tall. Image is about 12" tall. No really damage a few of very minor flecks could easily be touched up if desired. Circa 1790
