Samuel Kirk Coin Silver Chid's Mug Ca. 1835 Anderson Family Repousse
Coin silver repousse child's mug created by Samuel Kirk near Baltimore Maryland, circa 1835. Marked 11 oz. on bottom. Embossed castles among fine engraving, names of two children on nameplate: Fannie A. & Mannie Anderson, the first being scratched out. Both children were Christened in May 1845, the girl being 10 years old at the time in Prince George's Parish, Montgomery near Baltimore. Mug measures 3.75"h to top of handle, 2.5"d. Slightly out of round with a few small dents, but nice condition overall. Sold as is. Inglenook Antiques...Established 1989.
