Irwin Mainbor Spur Auger Bit 18/16 inch

$24.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a good used antique extension lip spur auger bit with the square tapered end to fit the antique style hand brace chucks. The one was made by and marked "IRWIN MAINBOR MADE IN U.S.A."  on the shank, and the number size (18) on the tapered area. This is a rather hard to find size as it is larger (1.12" diameter), and not included in the well known 13 bit sets. This one was made by the well known Irwin Co. as it is the Irwin standard pattern.  It's in good used condition, sharp, minor wear, no damage, ready to use. Nice and clean, some minor metal darkening in places, not rusty. The lead screw is also in very good condition. A very well known quality tool maker, and a nice example of their product!
