North Bros. Yankee No. 44 Push Drill Adjustable Spring

$40.00
Quantity available: 1

This is a good, clean, spiral automatic push drill w/ 5 different sized drills (from 3/32" to 11/64") that store in the handle. This model push drill features the adjustable spring tension, to assist with smaller, more fragile drill points, with less pressure on them to keep them from breakage. It is marked "YANKEE NO. 44 NORTH BROS. MFG. CO. PHILA PA U.S.A. PAT. JAN.25.98 JUNE.6.05" on the nickel plated area between the handle and the knurled nut. It measures 9.5 inch long overall extended without the drill bit. The steel screw type chuck and spiral system are in good working condition some wear on the spiral moving shaft due to the movement of the shaft, and the brass under is is showing through. Nickel plating is about 60% intact, with some wear, scratches, and some small dings noted. This drill is in very good working order, and has little wear on the moving parts. The bits are removable, and have a .168" diameter shank, and are in very good useable condition. We don't see many of these push drills with the adjustable spring action, in this nice of condition! The adjustment is at the handle cap and is released be a push slide lock on the side of the handle, it does work. The handle does open at the other end for magazine drill point storage. A nice, clean, used 1910's automatic, spiral push drill!
