Art Deco Iron Mounted Blown-Out Glass Vase Attributed to Louis Majorelle for Daum
This fine, hand-blown glass vase of mottled blue, orange and green glass, blown-out into iron frame, is attributed to Louis Majorelle (1859-1926) and Daum of Nancy, France. Measures 8.5 in tall and 9 1/4 in across. Good condition, with some oxidation to the iron surfaces, consistent with age. For a similar vase, see lot 64 in Christie's sale of Art Nouveau and Art Deco in London, October 3, 2006, wihch was offered with estimate of 800-1,200 GBP and sold for 864 GBP.
