Art Deco (c. 1920"s) dancing flapper table lamp on domed alabaster base signed Germany The large sculptural cast metal dancer is dressed in cabaret art deco clothing. Her face, chest, hands are made of celluloid. Her stomach looks to be bone. She is a very beautiful statue, in an animated and classic deco pose. Classic of the time, she is wearing a performers costume complete with head dress and breast plate. I think the photos depict the various garments designs and fabric patterns.
She stands atop a white marble or alabaster globe shade and is attached with a bolt and screw. This is THE lamp to add to a serious collection and/or art deco decorated home. She has all the great details that one would expect from the great art deco designers of the time. Signed GERMANY on the back. My camera simply won't pick up the chartreuse green ting to the silver paint properly. * because of the size and weight shipping will have to be calculated based on location
CONDITION: The condition is excellent. There is no damage to the lady except two missing fingers which I have and that can be invisibly glued back. She has some very minor wear to the cold painted bronze patina, but one just doesn't even notice. The marble too is in great condition with a little discoloration from a bulb that was too strong but can be turned away from view. All in all, she's in magnificent condition considering her vintage.
SIZE: This huge lamp is a total height is just shy of 17 inches.
