Ronson VARAFLAME Table Lighter

Unavailable
Ronson VARAFLAME Oak Cased Desk Lighter, made by Ronson, England, circa 1957. This is a gas butane lighter that was a breakthru in the lighter market in the 1950's. It has the first multi refillable gas inlet-valve combined with the first burner-valve that is hand adjustable. Around the same time the multi-filled cartridge to refill the varaflame came along. This was a step ahead of all the rest. It became one of the top seller's of the time. This one has an ID tag on the bottom stating "Trophy Varaflame". The condition on this piece is excellent. The lighter is chrome with a blue stone on the adjuster wheel. The lighter sits snugly in an oak Art Deco case. This lighter will make a great statement on any desk or table. See photos.
