American Early Desk Box on Frame Ca.1720. William and Mary? Very early hinged desk box on frame having block turned tapered legs with ball feet. Desk has hand dovetailed corner joints, primary wood is fir or pine with secondary wood being poplar. Heavy iron hinges appear to be original. This piece may have an older refinish but appears in wonderful condition with great patina and character. It is very solid and usable as a great Period show piece. Lock is missing and does have a brass key escutcheon plate. Beautiful Early Period Piece of American Furniture. Dimensions are: 37.5"w x 24"d x 34.5"h.
