One of the many books from the Estate of Francis P. Fretwell that we will be selling. The library is the largest privately owned collection of dog books in the world. Mr. Fretwell was the owner of Monfret Kennels, which bred champion standard poodles. He was former president and governor of the Poodle Club of America, and the Italian Greyhound Club of America. The author’s first book of hunting advice for the novice covering everything from buying a horse to tying a stock. First published 1926. Boards are spotted. Tips have minor board exposure. Some light interior foxing, and also some foxing to bottom, top, and fore- edges.
