A rare italian medieval hand and half sword first half of XV century

Straight double edged blade of massive construction, at the forte circa 8 cm wide and then gradually narrows to end with a sharp slightly and reinforced point ; iron handle with curved S guard and lobed quillons , long handle with holes for the rivets of rectangular form . Very rare globular pommel.

note: type is not very common, a similar exemple is preserved at the Museum Foundation of Legnago ,Fioroni, two other exemples of similar shape one with a snake form blade were found in the river Bacchiglione, Padua near the Castle of S . Martino now preserved at the Civic Museum of Padua.
