This is a very rare Faroid golf ball, circa 1920. It is a gutta-purcha with a liquid center. The poles of the ball are marked " This end up", because it had to be struck at a certain angle so the benefits of it's concentric rings could be realized. It is listed in Chuck Furjanic's 2004 Antique golf collectibles price guide at between $1750 and $8000, depending on condition. I believe this ball would be described as very very good to excellent.
