Quantity available: 1

A rare and magnificent antique porcelain pedestal bowl made by Moore Bros. 1880 - 1891. This lovely piece has pale yellow cactus flowers and buds with gilt or gold calyx. Stems come up through the bowl. Bowl sets on a textured pedestal with gold and black Greek key design at the bottom edge border. It measures 10" x 8 1/2" and is about 4 1/2" tall, is heavy for its size weighing about 3 pounds 13 ounces. The textured base has 2 separations in the porcelain from manufacturing. One of the bud flowers has a minor fleck in the glaze, several of the tiny round ends of the stamen in one of the open flowers are broken off and a small piece on the edge of one of the petals is chipped off - all very minor. This bowl is in remarkable condition for a piece of this age. The bottom bears the red Moore mark and it is also incised with Moore and the number 338. These Moore pieces are quite a treasure to find and we have another Moore piece in a separate auction listing that was acquired from the same estate which is a compote with angel, Cupid or cherub figure. A gorgeous antique Moore bowl. 3 pounds 13 ounces
