Princess Depression Glass Cake, Sherbet Plates, Bowl

Unavailable
Estate collection of green depression glass, including a Princess footed cake plate, 8 Princess sherbet plates, and a Princess octagonal bowl with handles, manufactured by the Hocking Glass Company, Lancaster, Ohio, 1931 - 1935. The collection also includes a round dessert plate with a diamond pattern, possibly manufactured by Imperial or Fenton. All pieces contain uranium and glow under a blacklight. The octagonal cake plate has 3 feet and 2 handles, and measures approximately 1.25 inches high, 11.25 inches wide including the handles, and 10 inches deep. It is in excellent condition with no chips; it has very light wear and a noticeable bubble in the glass. The 8 octagonal sherbet plates measure approximately 5.75 inches by 5.75 inches. They also show very little wear. Four plates are free of chips. Three plates have one very small chip each, located around the edge. The eighth plate has a very shallow chip at one corner edge and another somewhat deeper chip on the inside rim. The bowl measures a little over 2.5 inches high, 9.25 inches wide including the handles, and 8 inches deep. It has 3 very small areas of roughness around the edge, which may be the result of very tiny chipping. There is also a chip on the underside and edge of one handle, more shallow than deep. The diamond-pattern dessert plate measures approximately 7.75 inches in diameter. It shows somewhat more wear but has no chips or cracks. Overall, the collection is in very good condition, considering its age. Please refer to the 4 photographs for general appearance and condition. Shipping / packaging / handling will be $25.00.
