Pratt & Whitney 1929 Gages Catalog
This is a nice clean leather like, pressed hard covered 5" x 7.50" catalog marked "PRATT & WHITNEY GAGES ACCURACY FROM THE STARS". Copyright is marked on the sixth inside page "1929 by PRATT & WHITNEY". It has 160 pages covering their product line of precision gages in detail, from Hoke gage blocks, to measuring machines, to thread gages. There is an interesting section on various railroad cars and engine steel wheels gauges. This section is called Rairoad Gauges. P & W manufactured specialized gauges for several industries over the years. Another interesting chapter in this catalog is the section called "OIL COUNTRY GAGES" and the gauges for the oil industry. The catalog is in very clean condition, with a very tight binding, some minor edge wear, a few light stains on the back cover.
