This is a great woodworking / carpenter book by Fred T. Hodgson. It's a in depth guide to layout of work with a steel square. Includes about sixty perspective views and floor plans of turn of the century homes; with nice engraving of exterior house style and floor plan layout of first and second floors. The 2 volumes set is in good++ condition with minimal wear, no spine cracks some writing and on the front and rear blank inside pages, names and dates. We note some discoloration spots on the outside green cloth covers, but otherwise the covers are in great shape, very minor corner bumping, nice overall. Measures 8.0 x 5.5". It is marked Volume One (of two volumes). Copyright 1903 in both volumes, the first volume list a 1904 printing date, believed to be a first edition set. An excellent reference book for the home restorer!
