We offer a pair of elaborate silver salts from the town of Bemberg, a part of the German States. Verification in Tardy's Reference Text on silver indicate taht these were made in the late 15th or early 16th century. Extremely finely made these a goddess supporting the upper bowl which retains part of its guilding. Underneath the goddess there are mythological creatures acting as supporters. to the base there are angel heds and wings.. These are a pair. They are some 600 years old. The condition is very good. No bends and no breaks.
