Porcelain Plate Rohrbach in Pewter Frame

This plate is hand-painted and artist signed. The large round stick-on label on the under side says, "Zur Erinnerung an ROHRBACH/Saar im Juli 1979 Helene u. Otto." The painted flowers are gorgeous, and up-close inspection reveals the flowers are accented with glittery strokes that give extra depth to the petals and leaves. Close inspection also reveals shadowy background flowers done in a very light grey which add to the fine detail work. The plate was meant to hang on the wall, as the pewter frame has a built-in hanger, although a plate stand would display it well also.
