This popular doll is called, Poor Pitiful Pearl, for obvious reasons. She was made by several companies, this one made by the Brook Glad company. She is all vinyl with a soft face and is 12 1/2" tall. Her most notable features are her large blue eyes with all her eyelashes, her cute little button type nose, and her sweet, shy smile. She comes in her original "poor" outfit consisting of her blue printed cotton dress with red dotted patch with matching scarf (babushka) if anyone remembers that old world name. She is missing her panties but has on her original black oilcloth tied shoes and black socks. The soles of her shoes have loosened a bit at the toes, which I think adds to the tone of her being a poor orphan. (If you know her complete story she is later adopted and given new clothes including a pink party dress). Her long blond hair is full a little uneven in the back and I don't know if that is intended. Her vinyl body is free of stains and odors and her arms and legs move as they should.
