Beautifully engraved certificate from the Planters Bank of Tennessee issued in 1860. This historic document has an ornate border around it with a vignette of cherubs on both side of a Portrait and a Tom thumb Train. This item is hand signed by the Company’s President ( A. Ewing ) and Cashier and is over 142 years old. It was printed by Underwood, Bald, Spencer, and Hufty. The certificate was issued to Christiana B. Dillingham.
Certificate Vignette The Planters Bank of Tennessee was one of the three great ante-bellum banks of Tennessee. Planters' parent bank was located in Nashville, with branches throughout the state.
