There is nothing wrong with this pitcher. I said it was "near mint" just because of the darkness inside. I have had this pitcher for many, many years. I always thought it was Staffordshire, but when I started taking the pictures I saw there were no legible marks. Perhaps some of you know more about this pitcher. If so, I will appreciate more information. It is certainly a lovely piece of purple transferware. The scenes are Asian, yet some parts remind me of Morocco. The trees remind me of eucalyptus. I have seen this pitcher in ads, but could never find it for sale on the internet. It is dark on the inside and I think that shows in the photograph. I have never attempted to clean this pitcher other than wiping it with cloth. The darkness may be due to its age. I think it adds character to this charming pitcher.
