Picture of Christ Child with Unused 1966 Religious Calendar

Unavailable
A complete unused small religious calendar for 1966 drops down from the picture's cardboard back. It states that January is the Month of the Holy Child and each month has a different designation. The quarters of the moon are at the top of each side. Sundays and Holy Days are printed in red. Days of Abstinence are indicated by a fish. Half fish indicates meat once a day. Each day has a Saint named along with other events.

The framed 8X10 inch picture says it is "Christ at twelve years old" and has the following familiar blessing.

"God Bless this House"
Bless this house, O Lord we pray.
Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout,
Keeping want and trouble out;
Bless the roof and chimneys tall,
Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove,
Ever open to Joy and Love.
God Bless Our House

The frame is a golden metal color and the print is covered by a plastic sheet instead of glass. I see no damage to the print or calendar. The hanger on back is still attached and stamped on back is the printed words "With Best Wishes Mr. & Mrs. J. Tacik" This is a nice example of the older religious calendar and would be great for someone with special meaning for 1966 such as a birthday or anniversary or to a collector of religious art.
