This is a beatiful patchwork quilt from the 1880 - 1890's period. It has a wool batt and is tied with gold cotton thread. It is in excellent condition with no holes or tears. It contains a marvelous collection of old fabrics from this time period. There are indigo blues, madders, double pinks, turkey reds, overprints, fugitive purples, paisleys, florals and many more. It has a brown, gold and white homespun checked backing. This quilt is a great sampler of the many different types and colors of fabrics from this time period.
