Pair of C.1880-1905 antique cream twin headboards with original hand painting from Paris. The arched tops have gilt outlining and decorative scrolling and corners. An oval wooden,raised plaque in the center of each and outlined in gilt. Pastel blues and pinks depict garden scenes,one of a young couple,the other of a maiden in dress of the day. Several holes in the lower section above legs for attaching a Hollywood frame at a nominal cost or can be used by mounting the headboards on the wall. Would also make a beautiful daybed. Very minor wear to the painting over the years. Each measure 41H X 39L X 1.5D. Outstanding pair.
