Pair Large Antique Empire Style Figurative Cherub Bronze Candelabra Sconces in Manner of Ravio

This magnificent pair of antique sconces feature cherubs holding candelabra with six candles, in the style of Andre Antoine Ravio (1759-1814), the noted bronzier and artist who served the crown and court during the first empire.  These date from the third quarter of the nineteenth century, and are in excellent condition.  Each measures 34.25 in (87 cm) tall. Each has old sockets and candle covers, and may easily be rewired.  Provenance:  Sotheby's, New York.
