Pair of French Silver & Crystal Claret Jugs by V. Boivin

Unavailable
Included here is a matching pair of silver claret jugs or ewers, circa 1890s, by the Paris firm of Boivin. Marks include the maker's mark of a diamond with two stars and the initials VB, and the French Minverva profile indicating purity of 950/1000. Each is in excellent condition. There are no visible cracks or chips to the glass. Their ornamentation is basically organic and reflects the style of the late nineteenth century during the Third Republic, but the pair will also compliment an Art Nouveau decor as well.
