Pair of Chinese Style Enamelled Porcelain Vases by Henri Ardant of Limoges

This wonderful pair of matching porcelain vases have been attributed to Henri Ardant of Limoges France and date from the third or fourth quarter of the nineteenth century. Measures 13.75 by 6.5 by 6 inches (34.9 by 16.5 by 15.2 cm). They feature delightful raised, enamelled and gilded decoration (including a single large lizard, and butterflies and beetles) on a robin egg blue ground, and rest upon faux carved wooden and footed pedestals. Condition of each is excellent. There is very little wear to the decoration. There are small chip losses from one foot. Additional images forwarded upon request.
