Pair of 30" Paris Porcelain Vases with French Hussar Cavalry Motif

This pair of large Sevres style vases date from the late nineteenth century, and feature reticulated rocaille handles, raised feet, and painted portraits of hussar ( light cavalry ) officers on front and floral bouquets on rear. Each is signed by the artist with spurious Sevres interlaced L marks with enclosed S mark. They measure an impressive 31.5" tall and 26.5" wide and are in excellent condition. We have found no signs of restoration, losses or cracks. Additional images forwarded upon request. ( 2nd Second Empire )
