Pair of 30" Bronze Statues of Roman God Mars & Goddess Minerva

These tall sculptures depict the Roman god Mars and goddess Minerva. They feature rich brown patinated surfaces and pedestals with original ormolu gilding. There are no foundry marks and the artist is unknown. They date from the nineteenth century. Two key mounts have been replaced due to excessive corrosion, and both are now structurally sound.
