Pair of Large Italian Plates, Circa 1875 This large pair of antique Italian square plates are both marked Leona in brown paint on the back. The hand painting on the front of each plate depicts perhaps a family’s coat of arms. You can see they are hand painted by the slight variations in image depictions. The colors are gold, yellows, blues, and rusts on a pure white ground. Both plates have hangers on their backs for wall display. These bright and cheerful antique Italian wall plates will bring a touch of color to any wall or plate rack. Condition: Chip to top left of one plate; minor rubs to borders. H=21 1/2, W=21 1/4, 'Thickness'=3 1/8
