Pair EF Caldwell Renaissance Revival Table Lamps

Unavailable

Included here is matching pair of renaissance revival table lamps attributed to E.F. Caldwell & Co, crafted from patinated metal. This pair appears identical to a lamp attributed to Caldwell and sold by Doyle of New York in lot 1518 on June 5, 2005 for $9,000. (Doyle image forwarded upon request.) They have a double baluster shape and wide disk foot, and the entire surface is decorated with male and female royal figures among tendril and trefoil motifs. Each measures 12" across at the base, and their frames (excluding upright sections containing sockets) measure over 24" tall, and the overall height to the finials is approximately 33". Sections of the upper tubing and socket sections were reversed so that the sockets are not at the same height. Finials do not match. Each have relatively new wiring and are ready for use. We will be happy to rewire the pair at no cost so the socket heights match. This item resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York city and may be seen by appointment.
