Pair Celedon Pate-Sur-Pate Table Lamps & Centerpiece

Unavailable

This antique garniture in pale celedon green porcelain with white pate-sur-pate decoration includes a pair of matching table lamps and centerpiece vase. Lamps measure 22.75" tall to the top of the sockets, 8" wide and 6" deep. The vase measures 6.75" tall and 5.5" across. The set features extensive bronze mounts including god and goddess masks. Lovely floral bouquets decoration two sides of the lamps, and the vase features a seated classical female on one side and organic Greek motifs on the other side. The set dates from circa 1880 and the lamps retain some of their original oil buring hardware. Each has old wiring with cloth sheaths and a plug is missing on one lamp. (We strongly recommend rewiring to ensure safe use. We will be happy to rewire for an additional cost.) Condition of the set is excellent. There are no chips or repairs. We believe the set is possibly of British ( English ) origin or continental ( French ) origin. These items reside on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York city and may be seen by appointment. Additional images forwarded upon request. ( hantiques )
