Pair Antique Paris Porcelain Greek Revival Potpourri Vases

Unavailable

This pair of Paris porcelain vases date from the early/mid 19th century, and feature gilt grounds decorated with acanthus leaf pattern at the shoulder, looping handles with Grecian masks of horned males, and green painted ground from base to shoulder including cartouches depicting loving mothers and children, and lyre motifs.  Measures:  12.5" by 6.5" by 5.2". There is some wear to the gilding and minor losses to the painted decorations, all of which are consistent with age.  There are no visible cracks or restorations and a minor losses to the underside of one lid and inside rim of one vase.  We have not found signs of restoration but cannot rule out the possibility.
