Pair Antique French Rococo Louis XV Style Ormolu Bronze Ewer Lamps After Clodion

Unavailable

This pair of gilt bronze ewers from the late 19th century, after the design by Clodion (aka Claude Michel, 1738-1814), feature porcelain panels depicting cherubs, with threaded brass nipples to allow addition of lamp sockets and wiring. Matching gilt bronze finials are mounted on each.  Condition of each is very good. There is oxidation to the gilt surfaces, and some small areas of verdigris patina, plus scratches and nicks and surface dust/dirt, all consistent with age. Measures 22.75 x 8 x 6.5 in;  58 x 20 x 17 cm.  We may add sockets and wiring for an additional fee.
