When you see how well this heavy silver necklace is made with the black gutta percha cameo center you will really be impressed. I think it is gun metal or it could be a heavier silver content but it is not marked. It is certainly not plated. The thick sides are made like a lot of signed Mexican silver with the heavy rich ornate designed. The center piece is arched and it has the gorgeous black cameo in it. The pendant is 2 ¼" x 2" and the thick sides are almost ¾". This has really good weight to it ( 94 grams) and it has a fish hook clasp. The I dont know that much about its origin but I have to say it s quite an impressive piece that is in excellent condition. The necklace will go up to 16".
