Hand coloured litho from around 1860. The paper of the passepartout is 35 centimeter [13.78 inches] by 25 centimeter [9.84 inches]. The paper of the picture is 19.5 centimeter [7.67 inches] by 15.3 centimeter [6 inches]. The picture itself [without the lines around it], is 14.7 centimeter [5.78 inches] by 10.2 centimeter [4 inches]. In that time black people were very rare in Holland. It looks like some port in Holland. Dutch people have the name to belong to the biggest slave dealers, but in Holland itself at that time, there were not many black people. I do not know or he is bringing a letter of somebody, or that he himself has a romantic meeting.
