Antique 19th century Tibetan solid silver buckle made of hand hammered solid silver decorated with finely hand chased and embossed lobed medallions amidst foliage pattern bordered by engraved key patterns. The clasp is mounted in a shadow box, the sheet of glass is placed in the middle of the box and covered on the front with another glass, the back and sides of the box are lined with black watered silk fabric.

Another similar buckler is published in the book “Tibetan Artifacts (Price Guide). By Mircea Veleanu. Publication Date: 2009 Page 208, with the estimated value: $1400.

We will provide the buyer with photocopies of the pages from the mentioned references together with a certificate of authenticity.

CONDITION: The silver buckle is in very good condition. The black silk fabric is in very good condition. The discoloration of the fabric visible on the pictures is made from the glare of the glass.
