Our antique and very large silver betel box on stand features extensive chased and repousse designs including figures from Indian / Burmese folklore and is distinguished by its large, finely carved figure of a Kinnari, the female counterpart of the Kinnara, the half-bird, half-female figure from South Asian Buddhist mythology said to inhabit Himavanta, and revered for their dance, song and poetr, and traditional symbols of feminine beauty and grace. 19 1/2 by 12 1/2 inches.  107 ounces, 3,033 grames.  The largest and most ornate box of its kind we have seen in our 23 years in business.
