  This antique brooch is from the early 1920's and it holds a silver dove, representing the Christian Holy Ghost, a common symbol found in jewels of the 18th and 19th century. It is also known as the Saint Esprit dove -From the doves mouth is its original holy medal of the infanct of prague on one side and Jesus with the sacred heart on the other. The patina on this makes you think it is sterling but it is not. It is  a fabulous old piece of  faith to wear close to your heart. Also a  great heartfelt gift to a loved one who needs some support. The petite brooch is 1 1/2" x 1 3/4" and in great condition.
