This is a silver Mesh ( or filigree ) enamel (Cloisonne ) beaded necklace that is truly gorgeous. There are 30 hand enameled beads connected by chains making it 28" long. The patina helps date it and as you can see it is really dark and hauntingly beautiful. I can only image the places this has been and the stories it could tell. Each bead is 1/2" and they in nice condition ( less one that has a dent). It is a fabulous estate piece that really needs a home where it will be treasured as much as it has been in the past. Most likely it is an 800 European silver ( almost but not quite sterling grade ) . Don't miss out on this at the last minute.. These are really hard to come by.
