Romantic scene courting couple plate pair, one with air-brushed pink border, the other with blue. Decorated with gold seaweed trim on shell-form rim, and a different decal in the center of each. Measure 5.75"d. Date from the late 1800s. Believed to be from the Limoges region of France, but unmarked. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks, very little wear.
