Porcelain Mantel Clock Depicting Three Graces After Canova
This wonderful French clock, circa 1900, depicting the Three Graces after Antonio Canova (1757-1822) in the Louis XVI style, is finely crafted from bisque porcelain on gilt bronze plinth with classical relief panels depicting frolicking putti. Measures 26 x 12 x 9.25 in (66 x 30 x 23 cm). The clock is set within an urn with scrolling handles, mounted on a fluted pedestal column surrounded by the finely sculpted figures of the Three Graces. Movement by Le Roy of Paris.
