Antique Cross locket - Vintage Religious medieval necklace - Golden Vintage Religious locket - christian jewelry - skeleton key

This is an antique pre-1920's locket with its original blue textured paper inside that would have been behind a photo. The locket has a  cross in the center on the front and back. The front has open metal work ( also called pierced metal work) that might have allowed this to have been a vinaigrette at one time. A scented piece of muslin or cotton would have been inside and the fragrance would have slowly come out as it was worn. The locket has a tiny miniature skeleton key inside ( it is not connected, it is just a tiny treasure). This hangs from watch chain that measures 26" long. The toggle is in the front and the locket hangs from it. These were added later in the lockets life. The locket is 2" long . I have never seen another locket like it so I think it must not have been mass manufactured. You can put a photo inside or a treasure and still keep your faith near your heart.

Because these are vintage estate pieces and are vintage and possibly pre-worn so they are not considered new from the factory…..  Please see photos for any wear or light surface scratches that come with age.?………………. Sold as is and priced accordingly..  All jewelry  ( unless otherwise specified)  is considered costume jewelry. We don’t polish these previously owned well loved pieces so we can keep the original patina. We try and photograph all of the pieces next to a ruler so you can see the actual size. All jewelry sold as found.

We use the descriptions of any stones from the manufacturers titles when they were first produced. When we refer to the stones, we are using how the original manufacturer of the pieces used them. We cannot guarantee the authenticity of a stone in a costume piece of jewelry. All pieces have been worn at least one time unless otherwise specified.  Although the pieces we carry are unique and interesting they may have a little wear ( if any) but they sure have a lot of love that came with them when they were first purchased way back when.
